Viewing your Bank Account held at another institution

1. One of the advantages of LedgerSwarm is that you are able to link (and see) your account balances at other Financial Institutions. In this part of the documentation I am going to outline the process to enable a Bank1 user to be able to see live balances at a newly created Bank1 account which is held at the central bank.

2. Navigate to the Central Bank user url - and "Login" as per normal

3. From the landing page dashboard - navigate to the "Config" icon

4. Click "Manage Ledger" from the drop down list

5. Click the "Account Identifier" text field and enter an account name.

6. For this example I called it "Bank1_Account_at_Central_Bank"

7. For "Asset" box - a dropdown will appear with the assets which are available in the platform. If you have already created your own asset (as per the earlier instructions) it will appear here. I have chosen "DemoAsset1". Please note at start up the trial application already has USD populated in the platform so if you haven't created an asset you will be able to complete this step with US Dollars.

8. For the "Client" box you will need to select the client who's account you are setting up. Remember for this section we are creating an Account at the Central Bank for Bank1 - therefore for this drop down I select Bank1.

9. As mentioned in an earlier section the "Bearer Token" is auto populated and although you can amend this - we suggest that this is left as is. Once all the boxes are complete click "Create"

10. Once you click "Create" the account will appear in the list of Accounts at the bottom of the screen. Please take this opportunity to Copy and Paste the bearer token for the new account (i.e. in this example"1QHgfoP9KXjFTxRgEzDsAF3k") - we'll need this shortly.

11. At this point the new Bank1 Account has created by the Central Bank User at the Central Partition.

12. We now need to switch back to being the Bank1 user as we now need to carry out a similar process. So please navigate to the Bank1 url which you were sent as part of the initial LedgerSwarm Trial set up process and "Login" as per normal.

13. Once you have logged in as the Bank1 user - go to the "Config" icon and select "Manage Wallet". In the Account Identifier field populate what you would like the account to be called. For ease I have called it the same name as at the Central Bank "Bank1_Account_at_Central_Bank"

14. Next in the "Issuer" field select where the institution where the other account is held - in this case "Central Bk"

15. Lastly we need to populate the "Bearer Token" for this enter the same details for the bearer token which was created by the central bank user. If you still have it on your clipboard from the step above you should be able to Paste it in here - if not you will need to navigate back to the Central Banks Ledger Addresses table and cut and paste it from there.

16. Once all the details are populate click "Test"

17. If the details match and agree - you will receive a green notification stating "Address details are correct"

18. Knowing that the details are correct and match - click "Create"

19. After clicking create the "Bank1_Account_at_Central_Bank" account will appear in the table at the bottom of the screen.

20. At this point the accounts are visible by both parties. We can prove this by navigating to the "Balances" screen using the navigation panel to the left of the screen.

21. Within the Balances Screen you will see that our DemoAsset1 is present and that the Holder is Bank 1, the Issuer is Central Bk and that the Account Name is "Bank1_Account_at_Central_Bank" - this is the same for both users.

22. Although the Asset has been created none of it has yet been issued - therefore all the balances are Zero.

23. This is the end of the "Viewing your Bank Account held at another institution" process.
